The edges of bowls and colanders are usually finished with a "rolled" finish. On the other hand, the Puppy Mark bowl series uses flat edges. Since it is not rolled up, it is easy to wash, and it is hygienic as it prevents water and dirt from accumulating.
By applying electrolytic polishing to make the surface smooth, it is finished so that discoloration (minimal amount of stainless steel peeling) due to whipping of cream etc. is less likely to occur.
